Ministries Of St. Jude Mission
St. Jude Mission is where people of all stages of faith gather and empower themselves for mission in the world. The community supports service to the Church, as well as establishing the Kingdom of God now in the surrounding communities of our parish.
Some ministries are centered on enabling the full, conscious and active participation of the faithful in liturgical celebrations. Others are focused on human service and social justice outreach.
It is your talents, gifts and faith life that you are being asked to share with us in a mutually professed desire to follow Christ. Below is a list of the active ministries at St. Jude Mission. Adult Catholic Formation Coordination |

Altar Cloth Coordinator - Altar Coverers help the full, conscious and active participation of the faithful in liturgical celebrations by bringing the altar cloth forward from the faithful and placing it on the altar as the first step for the preparation of the gifts |

Altar Guild Coordinator - Meeting once a month, members of the Altar Guild supplement the work of the sacristan and sacristan support people by providing specialized services in the care of the church, especially in preparation for great church feasts. |

Altar Server Coordinator - Altar servers help the full, conscious and active participation of the faithful in the liturgical celebrations by assisting the celebrant at the altar and help the faithful pray. Boys and girls are eligible to serve after they have received their First Communion. |

Baptism Preparation Coordinator - Baptism Preparation Teams help the parents and godparents of infants on their journey of faith and preparation for their child's incorporation into the faith community. |

Bereavement Coordinator - Ministers serve those who are sick, dying or grieving by offering God's loving compassion. |

Blue Army - Open to the ladies of the parish, the group is dedicated to pray the rosary to Our Lady of Fatima for world peace. |

Charismatic Prayer Group - Members of the God With Us Prayer Group are ecumenical and encourage a closer relationship with God through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. They also help believers to be baptized in the Holy Spirit. |

Eucharistic Minister Coordinator - Ministers of Communion help the full, conscious and active participation of the faithful in liturgical celebrations by assisting the celebrant in distribution of Holy Communion. |

Fellowship Coordinator - Members of the Fellowship teams provide coffee and donuts and a friendly atmosphere for meeting together after the liturgies. |

Homebound Coordinator - Visitors to the homebound share Christ in Scripture and the Eucharist, and brighten up their day with news and information about their parish and friends. |

Hospital Visitors Coordinator - Visitors to those in the hospital share Christ in Scripture and the Eucharist, and assure them of the love and prayers of the community. |

Lector Coordinator - Lectors help the full, conscious and active participation of the faithful in liturgical celebrations by proclaiming the Word of God in a way that helps the hearer understand scripture and participate in God's work of salvation. |

Little Rock Bible Study Coordinator - The group follows the Little Rock Scripture Study. Meeting at the same time as CCD classes, this is an opportunity for parents to deepen their faith. |

Marriage Preparation Coordinator - Team assists couples who have initiated the marriage preparation process by reflecting with them, and by helping the couples reflect together, on their faith and how their faith interacts with the commitment they make to each other. |

Music/Choir Coordinator - music ministry helps promote the full, conscious and active participation of the faithful in liturgical celebrations by leading them in songs chosen according to the readings of the day or for specific celebrations. |

Nursing Home Visitors Coordinator - Visitors to the nursing homes and assisted living facilities share Christ in Scripture and the Eucharist, and brighten up their day with news and information about their parish and friends. |

OCIA/OCIC Coordinator - Through pastoral care and formation, planners of the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults implement the year-long formal process of the Church by which adults are baptized or received in to the Roman Catholic Church. |

Outreach Ministry Coordinator - Through professional screening and evaluation, volunteers provide assistance from the parishioners to people finding themselves in an emergency situation and requiring temporary help to reestablish their ability to be self-sufficient. |

Social Justice Ministry Coordinator - Following the pastoral letters of the United States Catholic Bishops and supported by the diocesan office of Catholic Social Ministry, members of Social Justice Advocacy flesh out the theology of service and advocacy with a faith that promotes justice for the poor and powerless of our society. |
